Alessio Avezzano is a writer and director based in the UK.
Born in Italy and raised in Glasgow, Alessio began his career as a YouTuber, building a large following through sketch comedy before transitioning into commercial directing and narrative filmmaking.
In 2022, he wrote and directed Isleanders, a BBC sitcom pilot that premiered on BBC iPlayer and won Best in Writing at the Stareable Pilot Festival in New York. His 2024 horror-comedy short Midgies reached over 1 million views online and earned him a nomination for the RØDE Creator of the Year Award.
